April 26-29
9 English: Students need to be working on their short stories. They are due May 5th. We are reading 12th Night. Students should have their paraphrases of Act I done by Wednesday, and Act II will be due on Monday.

9 Social Studies: Maps of New Brunswick are due this week. Students should have finished their city projects, and research the political parties, so they can decide for whom they will vote on Friday.

12 Canadian Literature/12 English: Short Stories are due May 5th. Who Am I essays should have the first two parts finished. Students should be working on their essays for Canadian Literature.

Culinary 12: we are preparing for the banquet on Saturday night.

April 11--15, 2010 Canadian Literature: A short story is due May 6th. Essays are due May 20th. Thsi week we are reading and discussing The Mountain and the Valley, Ch. 8-11, in "The Play." 9 English: This week we are finishing our discussion of the novel Touching Spirit Bear. Students will be writing an essay in class on the themes of Touching Spirit Bear. Culinary 12-0: This week we are making pies for dessert, and baking roast for the main course. 9 Social Studies: This week we are continuing our unit on government. We shall be learning the difference among municipal, provincial, and federal governments. Students need to know the names of our mayor, Premier, Lieutenant-Governor, Prime Minister, and Governor General. Notes will be provided to students. If parents need a copy, please e-mail me, and I shall send out a copy.
