Grade 9 English
This week we are working on Poetry. Students have a number of poetic terms to learn that they need to be successful on their Provincial Exam. So far, we have done terms on poetic form, figures of speech and sound devices. These should be practised each night. Also, students have been assigned a book report that is due December 15th, and a poem about Grand Manan due December 21st.
Grade 9 Social Studies
This week we are having a test on the Aboriginal Peoples of Canada. We are doing projects on cities of Canada, and finishing up the history of the Maritimes. Students will have notes on migration patterns and settlement of Canada.
