Romeo and Juliet essay is due three days after the play is finished. Students should be working on this assignment as we are going through the play. Quotes and examples from the play are essential for good marks. Essay must be written in APA format, or will be returned.
Topics:
1. An essay on the language of William Shakespeare in Romeo and Juliet. (symbolism, figures of speech, poems--sonnets--within the play, effective use of language).
All past assignments (i.e. research essay in APA format) are due immediately.
2. Write an essay on Romeo and Juliet in terms of placing it as a literary genre. Is it a comedy, tragedy--tragedy of fate, tragedy of flaw, or a mixture of both.
Test for marks on literary periods I-V next Monday.

Grand Manan poem is due Monday, May 26th. Should be more than describing the scenery--get into the nature of your living here, and what it means to you.
