October 11-14
9 Social Studies
Students are finishing up their projects on the aboriginal peoples of Canada. Students have notes to study for a test on Thursday, October 13th, on the Aboriginal Poples of Canada.
The next unit will be on the early history of Canada, with a strong emphasis on the Maritime provinces. In pairs, students will research a time period or event in Canada's histpry, and then present their findings for all students. Notes will be given for the test, next week. Date to be announced.
12 English
Students are writing a test on literary periods I-IV on Wednesday, October 12th. There is a practise quiz on line to help students prepare. On Thursday, we begin the fifth literary period, the Elizabethan Period. Next week, we shall begin Hamlet.
11 Culinary
There is a test on safety and sanitation on Tuesday, October 11th. Students must make 80 percent on this test. Journals will be written on Tuesday for last week's lab. Recipes will be given on Wednesday for this week. This week, we shall be in the culinary lab on Thursday and Friday.
12 Canadian Literature
This week, students will be practising their reading and writing skills, to prepare for the ELPA.
